EXECUTIVE SUMMMARY
The Tejero-Holmes Foundation is a Las Vegas-based nonprofit dedicated to providing free orchestral music education, with a focus on serving Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) students in Southern Nevada.
We are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where all students, regardless of background, can access high-quality instruction, mentorship, and community support. By addressing barriers such as poverty, discrimination, and limited access to resources, we empower young musicians to thrive and reach their full potential.
At the heart of the Tejero-Holmes Foundation’s mission is a deep commitment to equity and representation. The foundation recognizes that when students see themselves reflected in their mentors and educators, they gain a stronger sense of belonging, confidence, and possibility.
While the foundation’s work centers BIPOC communities, it welcomes all students and supporters who share its values of access, representation, and empowerment. Through high-quality music education and culturally responsive programming, the foundation nurtures both personal and musical growth.
The founder, a biracial musician and educator, brings an unwavering passion for mentoring and uplifting marginalized youth in his home community. Having grown up in Southern Nevada himself, he is deeply committed to breaking down barriers and creating pathways to access, empowerment, representation, and lasting opportunity for underserved students.
